Breaking ground: a major milestone event
Future residents of Dux Churchill had good reason to celebrate at our recent Sod Turning Ceremony. For these buyers, it was more than a ceremony – it was a celebration of their future home taking shape and all the excitement that entails.
Sod turning is a significant and symbolic event for any development – but especially so at Dux Churchill. It marks the beginning of construction for a thoughtfully designed community that has already drawn strong interest and support from local retirees and downsizers.
This major milestone event – which drew a big crowd – was also attended by:
- Future residents
- Developers Orion International Group and Dux Living
- Builder Maben Group
- Maroondah City Council
- Via Architects
- Dux Churchill Operations, Sales & Marketing
- Trades and technical experts.
Myles Qin, Director of Orion International Group gave a captivating speech about the organisation’s passion for creating a vibrant community built on respect, belonging and joy.
“This is more than just bricks and mortar, it’s about creating homes not just housing. It’s about dignity, independence and community to those who have contributed so much during their lifetimes,” Myles said. “Our vision is simple, to build a place where senior Australians feel valued, supported and inspired. This community has been thoughtfully designed to foster social engagement, accessibility and wellbeing while also offering the privacy and peace each resident deserves. In a time when our ageing population is growing, projects like this are not only needed, they are vital and we are proud to be part of the solution”.
The feeling of pride and excitement about the future of our fabulous community and what it means for the many residents who will live here, was echoed by the buyers in attendance.
“It’s an incredible feeling to stand on the site of my new home. The quality of the apartments, the beautifully designed spaces and the sense of community that’s already forming among the future residents… it’s truly something special. I’m so excited to begin this next chapter of my life at Dux Churchill”. said one future resident.
Now that construction has begun in earnest, would you like to be kept up to date on our progress?
