We sat down with our Sales Manager, Sam McGrath, to talk vision, lifestyle and why now is the moment to secure your future at Ringwood’s most anticipated new retirement living development.

Q. Can you give us an overview of Dux Churchill: what’s being built, and what was the vision behind it?
A. Dux Churchill is a beautiful boutique retirement living development being built in the heart of Ringwood, with everything you could possibly need right at your fingertips. We’re offering 57 luxurious apartments in a range of one, two and three-bedroom floor plans.
Dux Churchill has been thoughtfully designed with wellbeing at its core, creating a vibrant and connected community where people can enjoy an active, fulfilling lifestyle. I might be a little biased, but I really believe retirement living has never looked better than it does at Dux!
Q. What stage is the development at right now, and when can people expect to move in?
A. I’m incredibly excited to share that the community has now topped out (which is a fancy construction term that means its reached its highest point), and we’ve moved into the internal fit-out stage. Things are progressing well, and we expect our first residents to be moving in by the end of the year, just in time for Christmas!
The Dux Churchill display apartment will be available to view in June, which is a fantastic milestone and will give interested people the opportunity to walk through the floorplans, touch the fixtures and finishes and really put themselves in the shoes of a Dux resident. It’s also a great time to purchase off the plan, as buyers can secure the future home that best suits their personal taste and needs, while planning with confidence.
Q. Tell us about the apartments’ architectural design. What research or thinking went into making them suited to senior living?
A. Our architects created Dux Churchill with a timeless look and feel, carefully incorporating features that focus on light, space, privacy and convenience. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to create homes that are not only beautiful but also highly functional.
We wanted to ensure residents feel comfortable both now and in the future, with designs that support independence and allow people to age in place while continuing to enjoy the lifestyle they love. That’s why we’re proud to have been awarded the prestigious Gold Level Livable Housing Design Certification by Livable Housing Australia.
Facilities and lifestyle
Q. Walk us through the amenities on site. What can Dux Churchill residents expect to be part of their daily lifestyle?
A. Our community centre really will be the heart of daily life and offers an incredible range of spaces and facilities.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll experience a welcoming Concierge-style atmosphere. Residents will enjoy a beautiful lounge with private library, sports bar (with regular resident happy hours, of course!), private dining room, fully equipped gym with reformer Pilates beds, a multipurpose room and an 18-seat cinema for fun movie afternoons and big event telecasts. We also have a rooftop terrace with barbecue facilities and amazing views, an onsite café and even an electric vehicle available for residents to use.
Q. What kinds of social activities are planned, and how will community culture be fostered from day one?
A. Creating a strong community from day one has been incredibly important to us at Dux Churchill. One of my responsibilities has been bringing our purchasers together before they even move in, so friendships and connections can begin early.
We’ve achieved this through regular events, development updates and celebrations of key milestones. It’s been wonderful to see relationships already forming, because by the time residents move in, they’ll already feel like they’re a part of something special.

Costs and buying off the plan
Q. What does it cost to secure a home here, and how does the financial structure work?
A. Securing a home at Dux Churchill couldn’t be simpler. Buyers place a fully refundable initial deposit of $2,000 upon reserving an apartment, followed by a further $18,000 when contracts are signed, with no further payment required until settlement.
At Dux we wanted to make sure people had choices for the financial side of things. That’s why we offer three different contract options, allowing purchasers the flexibility to choose the structure that best suits their personal circumstances. We’re always happy to guide people through the options and answer any questions.
Q. What are the advantages of buying now, compared to waiting until the community opens?
A. One of the biggest advantages of purchasing now is having the opportunity to choose the home that suits you best. Once a community opens, available apartments can become limited, so buyers may not always have the same level of choice.
Purchasing early also gives you the ability to personalise certain finishes and create a home that truly feels like your own. Plus, you’re buying at today’s prices while potentially selling your current home at tomorrow’s values, which can be a real financial advantage.
Location and surrounds
Q. Tell us about the location. What drew you to this site, and what will residents have access to nearby?
A. When people talk about real estate, they always say location, location, location — and that is exactly what Dux Churchill offers. When we say we’re in the heart of Ringwood, we genuinely mean it.
There is a bus stop right outside, Ringwood train station is only 800 metres away and Eastland Shopping Centre is just 250 metres from our doorstep. Add in Costco, Bunnings, healthcare, services, cafés, the Mullum Mullum Trail and quick access to Eastlink, and it’s hard to imagine a more convenient location.
